Movers and Shakers in Love!

I thought I had a busy weekend, but this couple has been stamped as certified movers and shakers. Courtney and Charles drove from Texas to do their wedding coordination activities, visit family, take engagement photos, and get right back on the road…because some of us had to work the next morning… MERCY!

This session was at the Westin, where the staff is ever so corporative, was an enjoyable opportunity to learn about Courtney and Charles. As always, I like to photograph couples from a distance, allowing them to interact and do what they do when they think the camera isn’t looking. This couple embraces the recipe for love, with endless amounts of sugar, hugs as desired, hand-holding just because, and a smile in their eyes. I hope these images captured that love… enjoy!

David + Luz = Married

I Hope You Dance

A mother’s love for her children is like no other. It is probably the closest thing to the love God has for his children, along with His desire for us to have for one another. It is unconditional, “It covers all things, It has faith for all things, It hopes in all things, It endures all things…” as it pertains to the child’s life.

In this slideshow presentation, I tried to capture the special bond between the Melissa, a very loving mom, and little Addy, her care-free and precious daughter. It is always my goal to capture the relationship between my subjects in my images. However, this time I wanted to incorporate spoken words from mom via video. It is now perfect. The voice could have been better and my video editing skills needs a great deal of work, but I learned a lot in the process. I look forward to improving the quality in upcoming fusion (photo + video) slideshows. I hope you enjoy and your feedback is always welcome!!!

An Audience of One

Recently I went to the circus. I’ve been to the circus before and enjoyed the enthusiasm of the families, watching trapeze artists faithfully trusting their partner to catch them, and contortionists manipulate their bodies into positions they shouldn’t. However, this time I got to the experience the circus on a different level, with my friend for his engagement pictures.

Being the creative-minded photographer Michael is there is no surprise that he would choose to have his engagement photos taken at such an extraordinary place as the circus. Together with Michael’s fiancé, Shaun, having such a fun, free-spirited, life-loving personality, it is not hard to see why they are made for each other. This experience was reflective of their personalities.

Their love for each other, shown through the ability to be themselves with each other, their public affection, and the celebration of their togetherness, was comfortable, seemingly effortless, as they enjoyed each other. The circus presented a magical backdrop for capturing their love for each other. Performing to an audience of one, the heart.
